I’ve known Liz since we worked together at Future Publishing’s Total Film, where she was the Online Editor.
From her outstanding contribution in developing the magazine’s website (taking it from rudimentary origins into something far more complex) to conversations about our own favourite websites, I knew she’d be the perfect person to help me develop my own website after I went freelance in 2007.
It isn’t simply that Liz knows her stuff, which she does to an impressive degree (I feel like a nursery school student listening to a university professor in our web-related discussions); she’s also an absolute pleasure to work with, enthusiastic, full of ideas, patient and never condescending to a web neophyte like myself.
My main ambition was to create a website that would serve as an archive for my work, and Liz was instrumental in creating the site’s master database, pulling together the relevant elements and uploading content to a CMS created by my web designer.
She continues to maintain the site and address any backend or other issues that crop up.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Liz to anyone. She’s smart, talented, engaging and keeps a very cool head under pressure! She’s a delight to work with.
