When Neil Henderson first came to discuss the website for his newly formed company, Henderson People Management Services, he had a very clear idea of what he wanted in terms of the overall ethos of his business and this immediately helped inform the colour scheme and the general look and feel of the website, particularly with regard to the logo, which was created by graphic designer, Patrick Hawkins.
We worked together using stock photography websites, iStockphoto and Fotolia, to source strong, abstract photos for his key areas of business - and used these on the home page, the services landing page and the individual service pages to create a path for the user to follow.
We agreed that Weebly's blog tool would work well for Neil, since it allows you to post directly to Facebook and Twitter when you upload a post to the blog. This meant that HendersonPMS could have a presence on those social sites without using up too much of Neil's time. We also used a Twitter widget, so that the site would display fresh content, through tweets and retweets, even when the blog wasn't being updated.
We made use of several Google tools, eg Google Maps, Google Places, Google Plus, Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools, and set up a LinkedIn account for both Neil and Henderson PMS.
